The Pacific Mountain Regional Meeting (GM2022) in Prince George is only a week away, and we are SO excited to see you in Prince George! This message is the email we sent to all Children’s and Youth Program participant’s guardians. It has general information about this event and a list of what to bring, as well as a link to a form (THIS FORM) that we need you to fill out before Monday, June 6th.

General Information:
- Our Children, Middle School, Youth Arrival Sign In will be at the GM2022 Welcome Table, in the main foyer of the Prince George Conference and Civic Centre. The Welcome Table opens at 2pm). We are gr
ateful to be visitors on the land of the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation. Â
- Children’s, Middle School and Youth programming starts at 3:30pm Thursday June 9 with settling in activities in the program spaces, and the program starts at 4pm. There will be directional signs in the main foyer of the civic centre and folks around who will direct you to the program spaces. Please let us know if your arrival will be later than 4 pm.Â
- Children and youth will spend time in The Plenary, which is the time for Theme, Business, and Worship for all people attending the General Meeting. We will also spend time in our own program spaces, sharing meals together, and on out-trips offsite. A copy of the Children/ Middle School/ Youth Program schedule is here.
- Daily Sign In and Sign Out is at the First Third Ministry Table in the GM2022 meeting (you can’t miss the table; it is the most colourful
)
- All Children, Middle School, Youth programming ends on Saturday, June 11th at 6pm. Children and youth join their designated adults to enjoy the Affirming Celebration Street Party on Saturday night, and you are encouraged to attend the Celebration of Ministry service on Sunday morning. First Third Ministry Team and program leaders will be there on Sunday and will have activity packets for you to take to your seat.  Â
What to Bring:
- Hat
- Sunscreen
- Good walking shoes
- Water bottle (labelled please)
- Masks for indoors
- Sweater/Raincoat (for changes in weather)
- Any medications (i.e. EpiPen, etc.) Please give these to your leader in a labelled Ziploc bag with instructions for use when you arrive at the program.
COVID Safety Expectations:
- All participants and program staff are expected to wear masks when we are indoors.Â

- Please make sure it is the parent or guardian of these children/youth who submits THIS FORMÂ by Monday, June 6. All children/youth from the family who are attending the event can be on the one form.Â

The Children’s and Youth Programs at General Meeting 2022 is open for registration. Do register the Children and Youth from your communities of faith to attend in-person! More Children’s and Youth Programs specifics will be posted in the coming weeks. In the meantime, here’s what you need to know:
Children’s Program & Youth Program ~ Rooted and Grounded in Love
- Children’s and Youth Programs are In-Person only.
- The CY Programs are age specific programs – Children’s Program is for people 8-12 years; Youth Program is for people 13-17 years. Both groups are lead by First Third Ministry Staff teams.
- The Welcome and Sign-In Table opens at the Prince George Convention and Civic Centre at 3pm on Thursday June 9, 2022. The Children’s Program and Youth Program begin at 4pm that same day.
- There is no overnight accommodation provided. Children and Youth stay with their parent/ guardian or other designated adult for the duration of the General Meeting.
- The CY Programs end at 8:30pm on Saturday June 11.
- Children and Youth are in the care and supervision of their grown up on Sunday June 12.
- There is no CY Programming on Sunday.
- Travel and Accommodation for Children and Youth Program attendees are detailed are in the 2022 GM Travel Claim Policy. Note: Accommodation for children and youth in the General Meeting Program is NOT provided and is NOT payed for. Accommodation for Children and Youth Program attendees must be arranged and paid for by their parent/appointed guardian.
We are beyond excited to be welcoming your Youth and Children in Prince George, and embark on a journey of discovery – what it means to gather together again in whole church community, to explore the theme “Rooted and Grounded in Love”, to break bread and worship and play together!
