Advocating for a Guaranteed Livable Income (GLI) has long been a call within the anti-poverty mission of the United Church of Canada. With increasing prices for basic necessities and social outreach programs stretched further and further, the time is now to urge our leaders in municipal, provincial and federal governments to care for those most vulnerable in our communities.
Join with the PMR GLI Working Group this Advent to understand and embody how Shalom calls us into anti-poverty advocacy and to live into these sacred traditions where we find connection with one another, with our communities, and with the Holy One.
