4th Quarter Network

Now Hosting In-Person Retreats!

The Fourth Quarter Network was pleased to host our first in-person retreat in April 2024, at Bethlehem Retreat Centre in Nanaimo, on the theme, “Circles of Connection.” We are grateful to have received a “Seeds of Hope” grant of $4,500 from  “The James Robertson Memorial Trust Fund at The United Church of Canada Foundation” to make this retreat possible. For the participants, it was very meaningful and worthwhile being together in-person. The 4th Quarter Network has met and are thinking about another in-person event in spring 2025, probably located in the interior region. Stay tuned! We want to stay connected as often as we can.

About Our Name

You may wonder where the name 4th Quarter came from. It was a few heads who developed the idea. If those working with children, youth and young adults were called "The First Third", we decided we could be the last quarter. However, last sounded too "last", so it became the Fourth Quarter! There is some scripture to back this up: "The last shall be first and the first last!" (Matt 20:16) Yes, we like humour too!
