Retired United Church of Canada Ministers Living in Pacific Mountain Region

Mission

4th Quarter offers an opportunity for all retired United Church ministers of the Pacific Mountain Region to connect for conversation and inspiration.

Vision

Our vision is to have gatherings using technology or in-person for the entire Network at least twice a year. These gatherings will offer opportunities for worship, conversation, and mutual support. The programs for these gatherings will be built on ideas and suggestions from previous events or from you!

Purpose

Our purpose is to create a safe space and place for retired ministers, from all categories, who now live in BC and the Yukon, to connect with one another. Our steering team is a small group of these folk: Peggy Jensen, Chair. Peter Newbery, Jim Short, Liz Bowyer, Brenda Riley, Maggie Watts Hammond, Lori Megley Best, David Martyn, Dee McEachern, with staff support from Michelle Slater and Marina Lecian.

Upcoming Events

Seeds of Resurrection-3

April & May 2026, all retired ministers are invited to a one-day in-person retreat throughout PMRC. This is an opportunity to meet with colleagues, enjoy a free lunch, engage in meaningful conversations and share in worship. Together, we hope to discover “seeds” and opportunities at this stage of our retirement. Please register for the gathering in your area.
