AGM 2024 What Makes Quorum?

Does your community of faith have a designated Youth and Young Adult seat for representatives from your church to regional council?

  • Per 100 members voting at General Meeting, 5 members voting need to be 30 years of age, or younger.

As passed at our 5th Annual General Meeting in Abbotsford BC, 2023: “Pacific Mountain Regional Council of The United Church of Canada requires that at least 5% of the voting representatives be between the ages of 14 and 30 years old in order to pass motions for decision.”

  • Attendees who are 17 years old or younger, with voting privileges from their community of faith should register for AGM 2024 as ‘Voting Attendees – 17 Years and Younger’
  • Attendees who are 18 years old or older, with voting privileges from their community of faith should register for AGM 2024 as ‘Voting Attendees – 18 Years and Older’
  • Registration is not yet open

Once a Voting Attendee under 17 registers for the AGM, First Third Ministry staff will connect with them directly with details and encouragement to also participate as part of the Youth Council community during the course of the general meeting.
