You can find the film synopsis below. The Apartheid Awareness Movie Nights is one of the AFC initiatives that aims at spreading awareness about the concept of Apartheid through film. There will be focus on the Apartheid in South Africa, the Apartheid on Turtle Island, and the Apartheid in Palestine.
We are thrilled to be able to partner with Jeeda Musleh, Coordinator of Apartheid-Free Communities BC to help nourish the momentum of this movement, and to help allies connect in supportive networks to keep this important work going. In 56 days, on October 7th, it will mark three full years that this current phase of Israeli genocide in Palestine will have been allowed to continue. We must stay faithful in this anti-apartheid work, we must continue to speak, act, and organize in solidarity with our Palestinian siblings, and we must help one another keep going.
This free screening will be offered via zoom, there will be some opening remarks and updates on the Apartheid-Free Communities movement in BC and within the Pacific Mountain region, and will be followed by a time of discussion.
