Stewardship Focused Newsletter ~ From Vicki Nelson

Friends, please enjoy this inspiring and inviting information from our Western Canada Stewardship Animator! You are very welcome to share the link to this post, and the details of the following six topics!

1. Seeking Meaningful Gift Ideas?

Our new gifts ideas for 2021-2022 are now available.  Once again, we have the opportunity to “help change the world” with our generosity, and through specific Mission & Service Partners!  While every pastoral charge has received a paper copy of the Gifts with Vision Catalogue, be sure to log on to the website to receive a complete list of this year’s gift options! Our gifts Transform and save lives, inspire meaning and purpose and build a better world.  See Gifts with Vision.

2. A Full-length Boxing Day Worship Service ~ Available Now

This year, Boxing Day lands on a Sunday. In order to support ministry leaders planning two back-to-back services and because Boxing Day has social justice roots, the Mission & Service team has prepared a full Boxing Day service. Reflections can be offered by one worship leader or many. They can be shared separately or gathered into one sermon. The liturgy also contains prayers, hymn suggestions, and children’s time.

3. Worship Resources for Epiphany ~ Focus on Stewardship ~ Also Available Now

Discover Your Gifts―Share Your Gifts. Five weeks of sermons, prayers, liturgies, and children’s/youth resources for the season of Epiphany make combining worship with stewardship easy. Now available on the United Church Stewardship in Worship webpage.

4. NEW! 2022 Your Generosity Matters Booklets

Filled with inspiring stories, prayers and thought-provoking reflection questions, the 2022 Your Generosity Matters booklets will arrive at your church in January. Turn to this booklet when you need inspiring stories to share during worship, meeting openers, or small group conversation starters, and for your own personal devotions.

6. Not just November 30, You Can Give ANY Tuesday

For many of us these days, hope comes in the form of a vaccine. The COVID-19 crisis won’t end for anyone until it ends for everyone. And in some parts of the world, no end is in sight. That’s why for Giving Tuesday 2022, we invited people to give the ultimate gift – the gift of life. On Giving Tuesday, we launched a special vaccination appeal that is still available! For just $25, you can save a life – not only by providing a full vaccination to someone in the world who needs one, but by inspiring others to do the same. Click here to “Pay It Forward”.
