Palestinians in the Occupied Palestinian Territories live under a military occupation. This means that Palestinian children are subjected to night raids, detentions, interrogation and imprisonment in contravention of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. The Canada, Stand Up for Palestinian Children’s Rights Campaign is asking the Canadian government to appoint a special envoy to investigate the treatment of Palestinian children by Israeli military authorities.
