You’re invited to Sanctuary West’s Community Building Workshop for volunteer leaders and clergy!

This workshop has been designed to develop community outreach techniques, foster leadership, and connect with other Affirming communities.
Sanctuary West is an ecumenical program and platform that champions Queer and Youth connections within communities of faith. We have developed a digital network through Discord where members can connect with other Queer and Affirming people, access real-time support from our network, discuss Queer theology, and receive Affirming pastoral care.
Through our workshop, you will gain access to our digital community, learn how to use online platforms to build and maintain community, and practice proven ways to engage and support Queer people and Youth within your community of faith and beyond. This workshop serves as a forum for communities of faith separated by geography to rebuild and strengthen an Affirming network within Northern BC and throughout the Pacific Mountain Regional Council.
