In 2022, the Community of Faith Council and Pastoral Relations Council were merged into one Council- The Ministry Support Committee (MSC). The MSC is the coordination hub for a variety of support teams and working groups who do the practical hands-on work. Below are these teams.
The Pastoral Relations Working Group (PRWG) meets weekly to review and approve vacancies, ministry position descriptions, calls and appointments, supervised ministry education (SME) sites and appointments, Voluntary Associate Minister relationships and leaves of absence.
The Approvals Working Group (AWG) meets once or twice a month, depending on the number of requests received for sales, leases, renovations of church buildings and any other property related matters.
The Ministry Personnel Support Team (MPST) offers spiritual and pastoral support to Ministry Personnel in the region, including retired ministry personnel and those on long-term disability. They welcome and help orient new ministry personnel to the region.
The Self-Assessments Working Group receives, reviews and responds to each community of faith that completes their triennial congregational self-assessment.Â
The Lay Leadership Working Group (LLWG) deals with practices and procedures for licensing Lay Worship Leaders, Sacrament Elders, Designated Lay Ministers, and Congregational Designated Ministers.Â
