At the start of Asian Heritage Month, we share this invitation from the Pacific Mountain Regional Council Archives:

‘The Pacific Mountain Regional Council Archives invites you to explore our digital holdings relating to Chinese Canadian and Japanese Canadian communities in British Columbia.

This work has been directed by an advisory group of members from those communities. The collections include over a thousand photographs dating back to the 1880s, some published histories, and several registers from what was known as the Oriental Home and School (Victoria, B.C.)’
