Friends!
The United Church of Canada actively discerns how to live God’s vision, here and now. The 43rd General Council met (virtually) this past weekend and this is the Vision that the gathered Council approved on Saturday, October 23, 2021:
“Called by God, as disciples of Jesus, the United Church of Canada seeks to be a bold, connected, evolving church of diverse, courageous, hope-filled communities united in deep spirituality, inspiring worship, and daring justice.”
Amen!
We’re excited to include below the images of the Vision and Mission that Moderator Rev Richard Bott shared on social media, plus an image of the Mission phrase in a number of languages spoken across the church (acknowledging many are not captured). You are welcome and encouraged to spread this Good News in your communities! Right click the images below to Save.
There are many ways this Vision and Mission are alive in our regional council, and across the church. The United Church of Canada national website is a great place to do a deep dive into the thriving expressions of our denomination in our communities and the world.
Where have you seen this Vision and Mission living in our regional council, and across our church? Let us know here, and we’ll share!
Blessings,
