And now the next  piece of news :——–

MARK YOUR CALENDARS:

The date of the 2020  Pacific Mountain UCW Gathering and Annual General Meeting has been set.

Friday April 24  and Saturday April 25, 2020

At Chilliwack United Church.  45835 Spadina Ave, Chilliwack,

Joining the ladies of Chilliwack, in organizing this gathering will be the UCW groups at Carmen, Agassiz, Mt Shannon & Rosedale United Churches.

My thanks go out to all of them for offering to take on this responsibility.

Theme: “We Have and anchor”

(this is to be a 2 year linked theme.  This year it is “We have an Anchor”  and having been assured that we do have an anchor  in 2020-21 I would like us to consider  “Will your Anchor Hold?”)

Now here is an opportunity for you all to go into those dusty closets at your churches and haul out the banners and see what you can find in that theme, that would make good decoration for our gathering next April.

Now speaking of Banners   –   remember the appeal made to come up with a new banner for Pacific Mountain UCW.  Here’s hoping we may have more than just one!!

You have had the whole summer sitting by the lake, on the beach or under the apple tree dreaming up designs for a new UCW Banner so now is a good time to start putting all those good ideas into play as you get creative.

Next Monday September 17, Lynn Lancaster (PM UCW Treasurer) and I will be flying east to attend the National UCW Gathering and AGM at a retreat centre in Mississauga, near Toronto.   This event finishes with Lunch on Friday and we expect that it will be a busy and informative time.

You will be getting a report of this Gathering in our next newsletter.

The next meeting of the Pacific Mountain UCW Executive will be on October 7 so if you have anything which you would like to be considered at this meeting please contact me so that it can be included in the agenda.

Not as much news for this edition of the Newsletter as the last one but I did want you to get the date of our Annual Gathering & AGM  into your calendar and also to share the info about the up-coming Fraser UCW event.

Please be sure to make copies and share this newsletter with anyone you feel would be interested and also send me any email addresses of folk who would like to be on the mailing list.

As always, Take care and stay safe.
