Archives – Virtual Exhibit
It’s God’s Country
A review of the United Church and its founding partners, the Congregational, Methodist, and Presbyterian Churches in British Columbia. Rev. F.E. Runnalls, 1974.
Making Room for Women
Making Room for Women is a coordinated effort to identify and preserve personal papers of women in The United Church of Canada, and the records of organizations in which they have participated.
An important part of this initiative is an oral history program. Some of the interviews are available here for you to enjoy.
Photo Gallery
These displays are derived from the holdings of the Bob Stewart Archives. They are intended for your enjoyment and education about United Church history in British Columbia.
Access to the photographic images in these displays does not imply permission for re-use. Permission to publish or otherwise use these images, and any accompanying text, must first be obtained in writing from the Bob Stewart Archives.
Video Gallery
Forty-seven select digitized episodes of the former Interchurch Television program, Pressure Point, are now available on YouTube.
In 1985, CBC, along with the United Church, made a video on the Thomas Crosby Marine Mission, directed by Tony Wade.
Audio Gallery
The Archives holds a collection of recorded interviews conducted by the United Church History Seekers as part the Heritage Alive Project. In some cases, the sound quality is poor because of the original recording equipment and/or the age of the tapes. Here is what we have to date.
