Part-time Office Administrator, Communications Specialist, and Bookkeeper – Cloverdale United

Cloverdale United Church is seeking an Office Administrator with Bookkeeping and Communications skills to commence duties as soon as possible.  We are a multi-generational congregation of The United Church of Canada with an active Intercultural Ministry.

The successful applicant will be the first greeting point for all visitors to the church offices and is expected to provide a warm and welcoming experience.  We are seeking an individual who has the abilities to multi-task, providing office support, administrative support to the Lead Minister, and communications engagement on behalf of the church, as well as financial bookkeeping functions. Familiarity with managing website content and social media would be an asset. The applicant will be able to demonstrate strong planning and communication skills with an ability to adapt quickly. We are looking for an individual who has some familiarity with the Simply Accounting program or similar bookkeeping software, along with excellent skills in Microsoft Office programs and G Suite apps.  Strong fluency in both written and spoken English is a requirement; written and spoken Korean could be an asset.  Strong intuition, self-direction, initiative, superior attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to learn and master new skills and processes quickly are absolute musts.

The position is half-time (20 hours per week), with a preferred working schedule of Tuesdays through Fridays, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm (although we would be willing to discuss alternative arrangements with an exceptionally promising candidate).  Start date is negotiable but preferably ASAP.  For more details please refer to the job description available on our website (  Apply by forwarding your letter of interest and resume to or via our listing on
