SUMMARY:Mental Health First Aid Training for Those Who Work with Youth
DESCRIPTION:Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the help provided to a person who may be experiencing a decline in their mental well-being or who might be in a crisis. The course is designed for adults who have frequent contact with young people\, for example\, parents and guardians\, youth ministers and clergy\, teachers and other school staff\, sports coaches\, and youth workers. \nYou will be certified* in the Mental Health First Aid course of the Mental Health Commission of Canada\, with the bonus of taking the program with other people of faith and having space to connect this learning to our experience in Christian community. DESCRIPTION:First Third Ministry Offering \nThere are lots of things that you can learn from a lecture but Godly Play is learned from the inside out. You will experience Godly Play as both leader and learner. \nYou will have the opportunity to analyze and tell stories from the\nvarious genres with peers in a collegial\, non-judgmental setting.\nYou will experience both the storyteller and doorperson roles; learn how to establish a Godly Play environment and strengthen your classroom management skills. \nYou will deepen your understanding of the spirituality of children. \nAll learning will take place in a prayerful and playful atmosphere\nwith creative and experienced Godly Play trainers.  Participants who successfully complete this training will receive a Certificate of Accreditation from Godly Play Canada. \nHeld online via Zoom\, over four days: January 29\, February 12\, March 12 & April 9th. \nDetails available here.

DESCRIPTION:We offer wonder-filled Pro-D Day and Saturday Day Camps for Children 5-11 years. We also offer Leader In Training camps at the same time\, for people 12-14 years! Our School Year Camps are in a number of communities around BC. \n\nCamp runs from 9am to 3pm\n$25 includes Lunch & Snacks.\nCall-in your registration if you don’t have stable internet access.​\nBursaries are available. No camper will be turned away for financial reasons. Camp Spirit supports you in getting your camper to camp! You may select the bursary option when registering online\, or call our Registrar with your confidential bursary request.\n\nRegister online using a system called Camp Brain. It will take about 15 minutes to complete your campers form\, including adding health and safety details.
