SUMMARY:Inhabit Conference Seattle
DESCRIPTION:Registration through LeaderShift for Inhabit is now closed\, but we want you know about and be connected to this creative event (self-directed registration is still an option\, click here for more information). \nLeaderShift is providing funding to offset costs for 40 people to attend the event!\, and we’re offering local learning groups as a way to deepen learning and increase the effective application of ideas from Inhabit Conference. These local groupings are called cohort learning groups. Each cohort learning group is facilitated and supported by a Regional Minister\, and Rob Shearer is convening a cohort of people who are involved in new church plants. \nThere are United Church participants attending Inhabit on their own\, and who are keen to be connected to the LeaderShift initiative. We’re keen on that too! The Regional Minister supporting each cohort learning group will be in touch with those participants. We’re hoping for intentional pre-conference and post-conference gatherings – fostering our collective ability to sustain change\, and apply our learning. \nStay connected to Inhabit and Parish Collective work\, and to LeaderShift’s social media for updates and highlights from cohort adventures this April!

SUMMARY:Sowing Promise\, Growing Leaders
DESCRIPTION:Leading in a Time of Turbulence is a retreat-based leadership program designed to provide\na deep dive into the personal\, spiritual and professional skills needed for ministry in our time.\nIt takes seriously that leadership is a collective skill\, and that good leaders build networks that allow them to mentor and support others\, providing a place for them to be vulnerable and transparent. \n\n\n\n\nThis multi-day program helps you build a community of colleagues where you can: add new skills\nto your tool kit for leading in this complex time\, invite a searching and fearless inventory of your call\, transform yourself and others through story\, and build a foundation of practice and accountability for your ministry. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLed by Rev Peter Short\, former Moderator of the United Church of Canada and known for his work on spiritual retreats across the country\, Peter brings a unique gift of helping you tap into the core of your call so you can reinvigorate your ministry. \n\n\n\n\nThe two part training runs October 21–26\, 2018 and May 5–10\, 2019 at Spirit Ridge in Osoyoos\, BC. \nTuition\, meals and shared accommodation for all phases: $1900.00.
