Adaptive leadership is a set of skills to help your congregation face those challenges and find new life. But there is a big difference between knowing about adaptive leadership and being able to put it into practice. \nThis 5-month program helps to bridge that gap\, helping you learn to lead adaptively in your context\, in response to the challenges that your faith community is facing\, specifically. Combining cutting-edge material from noted leadership educator Clara King\, together with transformative group process and personalized 1:1 coaching\, this program will encourage you\, inspire you\, and support you in the good\, hard work of faithful leadership\, wherever you are. \nThis 5-Month Program Includes: \n– Highly interactive monthly zoom meeting\, including adaptive leadership teaching and breakout discussions with a consistent small group \n– Monthly one-to-one coaching sessions with Clara to workshop specific adaptive challenges in your context\, and integrate learning with your leadership practice \nCohort gatherings will meet the 2nd Wednesday of the month\, 10am-12pm (Pacific)\, 11am-1pm (Mountain): February 11\, March 11\, April 8\, May 13\, June 10\, 2026. \nThe Rev. Clara King is an ordained priest in the Anglican Diocese of Calgary\, and a PhD Candidate at Fuller Theological Seminary in California. For twenty years\, Clara has used adaptive leadership in congregations and regional ministry\, as a church consultant\, and leadership coach. She has taught adaptive leadership for clergy and lay leaders in Canada and the United States since 2018. Clara taught Leading Adaptively through the EDGE Network with the United Church of Canada\, and is a teacher and mentor in the Leader’s Way Program for clergy at Yale Divinity School.  Clara’s PhD research focuses on the most effective way to teach adaptive leadership to clergy. \n\n\n\n\nClick here for more information and registration!

Adaptive leadership is a set of skills to help your congregation face those challenges and find new life. But there is a big difference between knowing about adaptive leadership and being able to put it into practice. \nThis 5-month program helps to bridge that gap\, helping you learn to lead adaptively in your context\, in response to the challenges that your faith community is facing\, specifically. She has taught adaptive leadership for clergy and lay leaders in Canada and the United States since 2018. DESCRIPTION:An Affirming Connections Offering with Jaye Brix\nDeconstructing Bad Theology\nTuesdays: March 31\, April 7 & 14\, 2026\nOnline via Zoom\nBad theology hurts. \nIt hurts the 2SLGBTQIAP+ community\, it hurts our communities of faith\, and it hurts folks who feel held down under the thumb of harmful language\, tradition\, and belief. \nJoin us for this three-week series inviting us all into a process of deconstructing the theologies that restrict us as we seek to expand our affirming ministry and as we live out faithful discipleship that celebrates diversity as sacred. We will learn together with Jaye Brix (they/she)\, an ex-pastor who uses their experience\, education and creativity to help folks on their liberation journey\, leaving behind church that hurts. \nExploring short-format teachings and longer-form documentary videos from Jaye Brix as tools to cracking open oppressive interpretation of scripture and religious culture. Exploring the roots of Queer Theology as a liberation theology for all\, not just the 2SLGBTQIAP+ community. We will also host a day long gathering for indigenous church leaders to connect and deepen relationship.
