DESCRIPTION:This June\, as spring turns to summer\, United Church people from across our entire Pacific Mountain Region are invited to spend time with the network that was formerly Kootenay Presbytery – exploring community\, relationship and covenant in our evolving church times! \nThe Kootenay Faith Fest planning team is thrilled to bring Rev Carol  Howard Merritt\, north to Nelson BC\, from Chattanooga\, Tennessee. Carol “is a minister whose writing\, speaking\, and teaching is anchored in theological wisdom and sociological insight. She’s a sought-after keynote speaker\, especially on the topic of ministering in a new generation. …The award-winning author of Tribal Church: Ministering to the Missing Generation\, Reframing Hope: Vital Ministry in a New Generation\, and Healing Spiritual Wounds: Reconnecting with a Loving God After Experiencing a Hurtful Church. Carol is a frequent contributor to books\, websites\, magazines\, and journals. She is a regular writer at the Christian Century where her blog is hosted.” \nJoin the Festival\nAt Kootenay Faith Fest\, Carol will invite us into creative\, reflective conversation\, re-imagining – and healing – in our progressive\, multi-generational Christian contexts. \nDiverse Workshop Leaders offer sessions to engage our body\, mind and spirit. \nYouth meet together in age-specific program and community. \nSpecial time is reserved for now-and-future Cluster building across the generations and ministry areas. \nFreedom for visiting\, adventuring\, and being with one another is held in all the spaces in between. \nRegistration Details\nThe Kootenay Faith Fest 2019 is for all United Church people in congregational and community ministry across our Region – whether in leadership\, membership\, located in the Kootenay’s\, or beyond. \nYouth are encouraged to register! \n\nIndividual registration is $50.\nThe Whole Group Rate for 7-12 people from the same faith community is $325 for the whole group (13 or more\, add $50 per person).\nAccommodation and travel costs are the responsibility of participants.\nBilleting is an option and a travel bursary can be available upon application.\nContact Brenda Wolff in the Region Office for more information.\n\nRegister Now! \nKootenay Faith Fest 2019 is a LeaderShift Event with Nelson United Church and the former Kootenay Presbytery.
