Director of Family Programming – Squamish United Church

Position Overview:

  • Coordinate family programming at Squamish United Church
  • Build and develop a weekly children’s church program for children ages 0-12 years on Sunday mornings
  • Build a team of volunteers and provide training, leadership and resources
  • Build relationships with families of the children
  • Provide overall leadership of the children’s Sunday program
  • Organize a once a month event for children and families
  • Work with the SUC Worship Team to plan Intergenerational Services

Position Qualifications:

  • Experience working ln leadership roles with children and/or youth programs
  • Flexibility in hours, dependent on needs
  • Christian development training and/or experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with people of all ages
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Be able to represent the church to the public positively

Hours of Work:

  • 10 hours per week
